A.B. Martin, Jr. age 90, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his residence in Red Springs, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Seymour Church of Christ, with his son, Dan Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Henson Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

A.B. was born July 29, 1926 in Red Springs, Texas to Alvie Basil Martin, Sr. and Martha Virginia Crump Martin. He married Bobbie Jean Walls on June 15, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. He was a high school principal in Gilliland, Texas, and Munday, Texas, and was also a farmer, and a minister, having performed over 400 funeral services throughout the years.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Martin of Red Springs, Texas; five daughters, Cathy Abels and husband, Jay of Keller, Texas, Linda Martin of Aquilla, Texas, Brandy Large of Wyoming, Tina Kreitler and husband, Steve of Clyde, Texas, and Meg Pavelka of West, Texas; two sons,
Dan Martin and wife, Jacquelyn of Keller, Texas, and Ken Martin and spouse, David Nobels of Webberville, Texas; and his grandchildren, Samuel Abels and wife, Erika , Deborah Abels,
K.C. Large, Jamie Large, Travis Hamel, Kehaulani Kreitler, Chase Pavelka, James Martin and Michael Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Thaye Cunningham; 2 brothers, Forrest Martin and an infant brother; and one grandson, Enoch Abels.
