Barbara Ponedel, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Harvest Christian Fellowship, with burial following in the Riverview Cemetery.

Barbara was born July 31, 1922 in Aguilar, Colorado. She married Earl Dean Hill on August 3, 1943 in Raton, N.M. He passed away October 1, 1986. She later married Maxwell Ponedel on October 28, 1962 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away December 6, 1982. She was a homemaker and a Christian.

She is survived by one son, Fred Hill and wife, Cheryl of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Stella Self of Seymour; a daughter-in-law, Pattye Hill of Ft. Worth; sister, Irene Martinez of Denver, Colorado; 8 grandchildren, Steven Hill, Milton Self, Darren Hill, David Hill, Chad Hill, Anthony Self, Lori Larson and Misty Self; 11 great-grandchildren, Kymra Hill, Jacob Hill, Shawna Hill, Nona Larson, Piera Larson, Valentina Larson, Charli Self, Brandi Self, Garrett Taylor, Lane and Logan Self; and a great-great-granddaughter, Vivian Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a sister, Alice Tobin, and her son, Louis Hill.

Visitation 6 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
