David Sprague, age 61, completed his journey on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020. Born in Los Angeles, California, he relocated to Seymour, Texas with his mother in 1991. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Sprague. Survivors include his mother, Betty Sprague, brother Raymond Sprague, sisters Joyce Skokan, Linda Calhoon, and Helen Garcia as well as many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Although he came to Seymour in his adult years, he quickly made himself at home in this loving community. He enjoyed keeping the roads hot going to the Panther football games, helping out at the rodeo grounds, and traveling to any event that involved a checkered flag and motors revving. David was someone that everyone learned they could count on. He made his fame in Seymour as "Super Dave" making deliveries for Phillip Campbell, opening up H-P Oil early in the mornings, and moving equipment for Morgan Farms. David was the happiest when he was in his pickup and helping his friends. This community was his family and for that, we are sincerely thankful.
Visitation will be Monday, November 2 from 6 PM to 8 PM and Services will be held at Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on November 3 at 1 PM. Social distancing is to be observed for visitation and Services with mask being worn. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
