Doris Mae Johnson, 88, of Lubbock, passed away Friday August 2, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be at 1 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Texas with Grace Wooten officiating. Services are under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 20, 1925 in Seymour, Texas to Bill and Ethel Rushing Wooten. She married Bill Johnson on June 19, 1943 in Seymour. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1987. She worked for many years at the Acuff Steak House, was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God in Abernathy.

She is survived by one daughter, Jerry Bowman and husband, Tim of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Rhonda Bowman, Shirley Bowman, Lanell Johnson, Carolyn Johnson and Brenda Kay Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, H.W. Johnson; and by two brothers.

Visitation will be held at 6 P.M. Sunday at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
