Doris Swain Rushing, age 86, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services were held at 11 A.M. Friday, October 18, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, with Dr. David Warren, pastor, officiating.
Interment followed in the Henson Cemetery in Red Springs, Texas, under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Doris was born December 17, 1932, in Seymour, Texas, to Ross V. and Mattie Leona Henson Sessions. She married Clifton Swain on June 4, 1951, in Seymour, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1981. She later married
L.V. "Buck" Rushing on May 1, 1987 in Seymour. He preceded her in death on September 17, 2005. She worked for Baylor County serving as District and County Clerk from January 1987, until her retirement on Dec. 31, 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Giddens and husband, Randy, and a son, Joey Swain; one sister, Joye Walling and husband, Tommy; her grandchildren, Timothy Carpenter, Casey Swain and wife, Courtney, Larry Giddens, Luke Giddens, John Leven and James Leven, and by 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Clifton and Buck; 5 brothers, 1 sister, and a grandson, Cody Swain on December 10, 2006.
