Geneva Lois Jeter, age 87, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, in Vernon, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, with her son, Ricky Jeter officiating. Services are under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Geneva was born September 30, 1927 in Red Springs, Texas to Dolphus and Margaret Davis Badgett. She attended schools in Seymour and was a graduate of Seymour High School. She was retired from General Telephone and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Gilbreath and husband, Dennis of Seymour, Texas; a son, Ricky Jeter and wife, Melissa of Seymour, Texas; five grandchildren, Sonja Bratcher and husband, Bob, of Graham, Texas, Robin Gilbreath of Iowa Park, Texas, Carli Holub and husband, Cody, Kayla Sosa and Kourtney Sosa; great-grandchildren, Lauryn McElmurry and husband, Daniel of San Angelo, Jordan Lewis and husband, Taylor of Newcastle, Texas; Meghan Bratcher of Lubbock, Texas, Ashton Redder and Ansleigh Holub; and great-great-grandchildren, Tucker and Harper Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Angie Bell Brothers and a brother, Raymond Duwain Badgett.

There will be a visitation at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
