Glenda Poteet Arnold, age 75, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Seymour Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Rowdy Mullins, pastor of the Harvest Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Glenda was born February 10, 1943 in Seymour, Texas, to Leonard and Mayme Banks Rushing. She married Richard Poteet on June 3, 1961, in Seymour. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1989. She worked as a babysitter while her children were young, and later worked at the Russell Newman factory in Seymour. She married Johnny Arnold on July 30, 1994 at Lake Kemp. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Arnold of Seymour, Texas; her children, Lisa Torrez and husband, Dan, of Seymour, Texas; Richard Poteet and wife, Linda of Goree, Texas, Johnny Arnold, Jr. and wife, Jessica of Jacksonville, N.C., and Kellie Arnold of Seymour, Texas; her sister, Nancy Barnes of Seymour, Texas; grandchildren, Lynel Holub, Tarra Torrez, Taryn Torrez and fiance, Justin Jones, Thomas, Ruby, Sean, Tim, Micheala, Susan and Deanna; her great-grandchildren, Braxton, Paizley, Bryson, Keyleigh and Madelyn; a nephew, Bryan Holden of Seymour, Texas; two great-nephews, Cade and Carson Holden of Seymour, Texas; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 6 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
