James R. Golden, 69, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Abilene. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Benjamin, Texas Cemetery.

James was born June 19, 1947 in Knox City, Texas to James C. and Cora Gillentine Golden. He was a machinist, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Golden and Regina Golden, both of Haskell, Texas; sisters, Marie Perkins of Seymour, Texas, Mary Ann Paxton, Lubbock, Texas, Sarrah Golden, Roswell, N.M., Connie Harvey, Haskell, Texas, Dorothy Hibdon, Goree, Texas, Linda Kerns and Buelah Golden, both of Haskell, Texas; brothers, Joe Trepanier of Seymour, Texas, John Golden, Gentry, Arkansas, Troy Golden, Goree, Texas, and Michael Golden of Post, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and by one brother, David Golden.

Visitation 5-6 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
