Joe Alfred Rogers, age 70, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Vernon, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Woodmen of the World Cemetery, with Dr. David Warren, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Joe was born July 17, 1946 in Texas. He worked for the City of Seymour in the Street Department for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Lorena Casner and husband, Stephen of Vernon, Texas, and Melinda Jo Rogers of Seymour, Texas; his sons, Joey Rogers of Seymour, Texas, and Eddie Joe Rogers and wife, Melanie of Jackson, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren with one more"on the way"; a niece Tamie Estrada and husband, Robert of Seymour, Texas; and a nephew, Jamie Cook of Wichita Falls, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Verna Mae Styles Rogers, and a sister, JoAnn Cook.
