Josephine Roddy Laws, 93, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 in Seymour. Funeral services 3 P.M. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. David Warren, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Josephine was born October 9, 1921 in Richland, Texas, to Jack and Molly Crawford Roddy. She married Gene Laws on February 19, 1944, in Seymour. He passed away May 11, 1991. She and Gene owned and operated Roddy's Cafe in Seymour for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Gay Lemons and husband, Loyd of Lubbock, Texas; a son, Mike Laws and wife, Revonda of Willcox, Arizona; a brother, W.J. Roddy of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Jeff Lemons and wife, Bridget of Lubbock, Texas, Lyndi Laws of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Reagan Laws and wife, Lelia of Dunbarton, N.H.; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Jacque Lemons, Tatum, Maykaylie and Kohen Laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Jack Roddy, Jr. and a sister, Joye Johnston.
