Julie M. Hostas, age 92, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Seymour. Visitation will be held at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, March 8, at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, followed by Rosary. Funeral mass will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Albert
Kanjirathumkal and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Interment will be in the Bomarton Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hostas was born June 5, 1925, in Baylor County, Texas, to Frank and Maria Tomanek Sosolik. She married M.J. Hostas on August 26, 1947 in Bomarton. He passed away on February 19, 2008. She was a homemaker and had worked at Western Auto in Seymour. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the KJZT Lodge.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Wheeler and husband, Gene , and Melissa Hays and husband, Darin, all of Seymour, Texas; three sons, Ronnie Hostas and wife, Cindy, Eric Hostas and wife, Trina, and Kevin Hostas and wife, Dena, all of Seymour, Texas; 10 Grandchildren,
Cathy Hostas, Jennifer Shahan and husband, Tony, Elizabeth Hostas and husband, Jason Bench, Tina Sieck and husband, Rusty, John Eric Hostas and wife, Alicia, Craig Hostas and wife, Brianna, Marci Hostas, Jenni Moline and husband, Clifton, Casey Kolacek and husband, Joe, and Curt Hays; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maria Tomanek Sosolik; five brothers, Frank, Adolph, Rudolph, Leo and Anton Sosolik; three sisters, Mary Peters, Albina Jones and Tillie Diess; and a daughter-in-law, Lagena Hostas.
