Louis Anton Kubala, Jr., age 85, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Seymour. A visitation will be held at 6 P.M. Sunday at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, September 4, 2017, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Albert Kanjirathumkal and Deacon Jim Novak officiating.

Louis was born July 28, 1932 in Seymour, Texas to Louis and Sophie Krenek Kubala. He married Lucille Rejcek on November 14, 1953 in Penelope, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2013. He was a farmer, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by his daughter, Suzanne Sturgeon and husband, Eugene of Seymour, Texas; two sons, Michael Kubala of Katy, Texas, and Charles Kubala of Seymour, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Hons (Brian) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Cheyenne Kubala of Chandler, Oklahoma, Kurtis Kubala (Jessica) Austin, Texas, Kourtney Kubala of Katy, Texas and Kelsey Kubala of Wichita Falls, Texas great-grandchildren, Nathan Kubala, Savannah Kubala, Maci Kubala, and Madi, Levi and Lily Hons; one sister, Mary Matus of Conroe, Texas, and former daughter-in-law , Shannon Kubala of Wichita Falls, Texas.
