Sue Winstead Covington, age 82, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013 in Watauga, Texas. Graveside services were held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Gilliland Cemetery in Gilliland, Texas, with A.B. Martin officiating. Services were under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Sue was born May 3, 1931 in Gilliland, Texas, to Wylie and Ottis Jameson Cook. She worked at the DPS in the training department for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Keith Winstead and wife, Barbara of Watauga, Texas; one sister, Loretta Davis of Wichita Falls, Texas; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Rory.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathi Lyn Winstead on January 12, 2011.
