Tomye Christian, 63, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Warren, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Vera Cemetery.

Tomye was born February 1, 1950 to W.T. and Billie Thurman Cockerell. She married Scott Christian on May 17, 1980 in Seymour, Texas. She was employed for many years as a teacher's aid in the Seymour Schools, working with Special Education kids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Scott of Seymour, Texas; one son, Shane Christian and wife, Misti of Spring, Texas; one half-brother Michael Gray of Sherman, Texas, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Tracy Cockerell.

Visitation will be at 6 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
