Lucille Rejcek Kubala, 80, passed away January 16, 2013 in Seymour. Christian wake services will be held at 7 P.M Friday at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be said at 11 A.M. Saturday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Francis Kanjirathumkal and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Mrs. Kubala's body will be donated to science following services.

She was born February 18, 1932 in Penelope, Texas to Valentine and Christine Makovey Rejcek. On November 14, 1953, she married Louis Kubala, Jr. at the Catholic Church in Penelope. She was a homemaker, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart Altar Society, and was a former member of the Pierian Club.

She leaves behind her husband, Louis of Seymour; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Eugene Sturgeon of Seymour; sons, Charles of Seymour and Michael of Katy; her former daughter-in-law,
Shannon Voyles Kubala of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Meagan and Brian Hons of Wichita Falls, Cheyenne and Jay Coombs of San Antonio, Kurtis and Jessica Kubala of Austin, Kourtney Kubala of Katy, and Kelsey Kubala of Wichita Falls; great-grandchildren, Madi Hons, Savannah and Maci Kubala, and Nathan Kubala; her sisters, Wilma Kallus (Pat) of Waco, Josephine Cervenka (Robert) of Reisel, and Bernice Gerik (Edward) of San Antonio; and brother, Lawrence Rejek(Joan) of Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Geraldine Neslony; and brothers, George, Albert and Edmund Rejcek.
