Alvin Herman Jungman, 93, passed away peacefully, February 28, 2021 in Seymour. Christian Wake Services and Rosary will be held at 5:30 P.M., Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Perikomalayil, Father Bose Jujuvarapu and Deacon Jim Novak officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Rhineland.
Alvin was born April 15, 1927 in Rhineland, Texas to Walter and Annie Jungman. He married Glenna High on March 6, 1950 in Seymour, Texas. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as an Honorable Postmaster, and Catholic Life Insurance agent. He was a Volunteer Fireman, Fire Marshall & Red Cross Volunteer. He also Served in the U. S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by five daughters, Christy Bickly and husband, Kent of Bryan, Texas, Holly King of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Jackie Allison and husband Rhea of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Marty Slaggle and Husband Shan of Seymour, Texas and Barbie Donnell and husband Shannon of Seymour, Texas; two sisters-n-law, Margaret Jungman and Nancy Heard; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna; his parents; a daughter, Vicki Studer; a son-n-law, Rob King; two sisters, Clara Herring and Theresa Anderson, and two brothers, Walter Jungman and Joe Jungman.
