On Thursday, March 11, 2021, Brooke Angela McMorris, loving wife, daughter, and sister, passed away at the age of 42 in Seymour. Brooke was born September 19, 1978 in Lubbock, Tex. She graduated from Grapevine High School in 1997 and attended Texas Tech University and Midwestern State University, where she was an active member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She married Kenny McMorris on October 18, 2008. Brooke suffered many medical issues and although her heart was weak from strain, it was huge and kind for the ones she loved. As a child and through her teenage years, she was a powerful, fast league soccer player and co-coached younger girls with her father and sister. Faith and the care of others was always foremost in her heart and mind. She loved animals, especially dogs, rescuing several to bring into her home. She is survived by her husband, mother, Sandra Reis Wilkinson (Larry), father, Victor Bentley (Beth), sister, Kristin Parks (Kasey), nephew Colton, niece Kylee, stepson, Tyler McMorris, stepdaughter, Cassidy Guthrie, her husband and three children, mother-in-law, Vickie McMorris, three stepbrothers, two stepsisters, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brooke was extremely fond of her grandparents, Steve and Caroline Reis, currently of Lubbock, and Coats and Eugenia Bentley (deceased). Visitation will be Wednesday, March 17 at Seymour Memorial Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by graveside services.
